Research in Sustainable Materials Chemistry

Research

Welcome to the Schnepp Group Research pages. We have a wide range of interests mainly focusing on the amazing polymers that can be found in nature and how we can use these to make useful materials. We use pure biological polymers that have been extracted from plant or animal matter (biopolymers) and also native biomass that contains biopolymers in hierarchical superstructures such as the lignocellulosic fibrils and fibres in wood.
